I grew up in England and was recruited to Florida State University (FSU) on a golf scholarship. While playing varsity golf for the Seminoles, I worked my way to a triple major graduating magna cum laude in Finance, Marketing, and Multinational Business Operations. I returned to FSU and received my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2005. I earned my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 2007 and I am currently a licensed CPA in Florida and Colorado. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the Colorado Society of Public Accountants (COCPA).
I have over 12 years’ experience in the areas of US individual income tax preparation, individual tax planning and consulting. My career has afforded me extensive individual income tax experience in tax returns of varying complexity.
I started my accounting career at a regional CPA firm in Florida prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Denver, Colorado. After experience in several functional groups at PwC including Personal Financial Services and International Assignment Services (IAS), I joined the IAS group and was promoted to Tax Manager in 2009. In the IAS group I specialized in individual income tax preparation and consulting services for US citizens working abroad and for non-US citizens working in the US (Foreign Nationals or Inpatriates). During my time in the IAS group I worked on clients such as CH2M Hill, MWH Global, Vestas, Gold Fields Exploration, Johns Manville, Salesforce and Teletech.
Over my career I have consulted on assignment structuring including long term, short term, commuter, business traveler and rotator assignments and US citizens (or Green Card holders) localized abroad. My experience also includes mobility policy development, expatriate payroll, global equity taxation, tax treaty interpretation and application, global mobility program management and controls, cost analysis including tax cost estimates and project accruals for expatriate tax costs. I reside in Tampa, FL with my husband Justin and two sons. I am active in the Junior League of Tampa and enjoy giving back to my community.
Ryan and I met while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). We have been working together for over seven years. Ryan attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1998. He interned with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in his senior year and was offered a position in their tax practice in January 1999. Ryan earned my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in January 2001 and is a licensed CPA in Kentucky, Ohio, and North Carolina.
Ryan spent just over four and a half years in PwC's Charlotte, North Carolina office before going on a two year assignment in London, England. Upon his return from London in October 2005, he became a manager in PwC’s Cincinnati office.
Ryan worked in the International Assignment Services group at PwC where he specialized in income tax preparation and consulting services for individuals working outside of the US (expatriates) and non-US citizens working in the US (foreign nationals). PwC enabled Ryan to gain extensive personal income tax experience working with individuals whose returns vary in complexity. Ryan has worked with top executives to mid-level managers to those just starting their careers in some of the nation's leading corporations.
Ryan resides in Kentucky with his wife and two sons.
